Entre las cosas que resaltan en este apecible poblado se encuentra la visita al yerbatero del lugar quien ha recetado infusiones hechas en base a plantas endémicas que por su efectividad han encontrado renombre internacional. Así también podrá saborear las bebidas típicas de la zona, la Guarapita, hecha en base a parchitas y aguardiente y la Leche de Burra, una especie de crema combinada con ron, existe también el perico que contiene chocolate hecho con cacao cultivado en la misma región. La visita a los Hogares Crea es muy ilustrativa de lo hermoso que el trabajo bien organizado de la jardinería puede alcanzar en esta región. Con ellos puede aduirir panes dulces de diversos sabores que han popularizado los que allí cumplen tratamientos de desintoxicación de estupefacientes.
Las calles del pueblo de San Esteban presentan un paisaje bastante desolado, la gente que pareciera huraña más bien es muy tranquila. Pero lo que constituye la mayor atracción del lugar es sin duda ld vibrante vegetación que le abre camino a lo largo del río en una caminata de más de dos horas que lo llevara hasta un puente ojival que permanece como testigo del paso de los europeos por esta región.
The amazing green of The Way to San Esteban will integrate y ou to the other side of Puerto Cabello, as an open door of the mountains from San Esteban National Park. The road is quite short and the time seems to be shorter because of the time you may enjoy by watching the exhuberant vegetation of the Tropical Rain Forest.
The variety of natural species perflecty preserved during the passing of times will take you in the green mountain bathed by crystalline St. Esteban River. The Spanish road is way up and it can take you right to the city of Valencia, the Capital of the State.
Many young germans impressed by the stories written by Alexander Von Humboldt about the new world came to San Esteban decided to walk all this road,
Unfortunately many of them got sick on the way and came to die, others got malaria and run the same luck.
The goverment of that country has kept rhe cemetery known as " Cementerio de los Alemanes which facade is very well preserved.
Merchants inmigrants who decided to stablish themselves on this region of the new world considered Puerto Cabello as the ideal place to work exporting and importing all the goods from both worlds., suitable because of having the Antilles on close aproach and also because of calm waters, ideal for ducking very easily.
But, they also considered San Esteban as the ideal place for living, thenon georgeous houses on very refined european style were built on this place, surrounded all by large green gardens offering a clear and brilliant way to feel the place.
Among the most interesting things to do on this very peaceable village you may try visiting the local alquimist who has offered his infusions based on endemics herbs to thousand of people from all over and because of its effectiveness are already internationally well known. You can also try local drinks such as Guarapita made with passion fruits and brandy also Leche de Burra, a sort of cream and ron, there is also the one called Perica which has a combination with chocolate made with locally planted cocoa. The visit to Hogares Crea is illustrative of the work of well organized gardening and there you can get sweet breads made by the participants of the drugs dientoxication treatments they provide on that place.
The streets of San Esteban portrait a desolated scenary, the few people you can see could seem to be standolfish but as a matter of fact they are very quiet. But the most interesting attraction of the place is doubtless the exhuberant vegetacion which opens the road to an interesting over two hour walk along the river, in the middle of the forest which ends at an old bridge erected there as a witnees of the passing of the europeans along the region.
